in regard to bowhammers comments-the situation hasnt been helped by traditional eastenders moving out to essex in droves over the past 20 years--pity cant think of any irish pub in the east end apart from top o the morning now.-

Ooooooooh.

Who cares!!!

I know that pub... it's in Croydon, innit.

Perhaps you should open your own pub bowhammer. You could call it the "Cockney Charmer", GEEZER!!
Sadly it would be frequented by shaven headed market traders telling jokes about curry munching "pakis", and drinking pints of Fosters..................................
|
Shame on you bowhammer! If you must resort to "paki" bashing could you do it elsewhere. This is a forum for discussing pubs not an avenue for simple minded bigots to vent their racist poison!
|
being turned into a guest house? seen a couple of pakis doing the work so I guess the downstairs won't contain a pub. and another one bites the dust!!
|
are there any pubs left in bow now?
|
Now closed down

I agree with the previous comment re the Guinness being very well kept. The fact that almost everone in there is drinking it probably helps. Don't expect to watch premiership games if the gaelic games are on.
I've often trecked to this pub purely to be able to sup a really decent pint of stout. Thai food is also better than the usual pub fare.

This is an excellent Irish Pub, and probably the friendliest in this part of Bow. The guiness is exactly as it is served in Dublin, possibly the best in East London. The regulars are mostly Irish, with loads of artists in there as well, as there is a large art studio complex around the corner. They also serve great value Thai food.
