This may suit the club crowd but this is a terrible pub for a lunch time drink.
The service is largely inept and the food awful and tasteless.
They have what at first glance is a relatively large range of beers listed on tap, but when you ask for a pint of anything a little more exotic (like Hoegaarden) they tell you "sorry we don't have that".
The staff haven't mastered the act of turning the sign on a pump round when the stuff runs out.
I will never willingly go to this place again for food.

Gotta say i love this place, but why change the name, you can even abreviate it 'the counting house' whatever, still call it maximos

Gets extrememly overcrowded and hot, but otherwise a great place as a warm up to a club :)

Good for 1st drink at the weekend. Can get fairly overcrowded. They play variety of music throughout the night. Staff are nice.
Food is fairly crap though and the staff don�t make the best waitress's.

its ok, musics good, staff polite, just bad over priced drinks, but where else can u go where the booze is not expensive

Rubbish music, over priced drinks, bouncers are cocky little sh#ts. food is average, much better places in watford to go!

Friday and Saturday nights at this place are great! the music is really good and has a good mix of everything to suit the age group in there. The staff are really friendly and the Door Staff are very polite and easy to talk to unlike other bouncers in the town! all in all a great night out,

i popped in 1 hr before the 1st game of euro 2004 in an england shirt, physically thrown out when i questioned why i wasnt being served, avoid unless your french

This is a great place. The only bad point is is price of drinks.
