Now MOLLOY'S and serving four real ales. Grumpy barman and ersatz Irishness didn't appeal to me. The Deuchars IPA was a bit flat, but the atmosphere wasn't bad. I'd recommend the Colombia Press next door.

Overall I liked this place and will pay another visit when next in the area. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. Only had time for a couple of pints which were indifferent. Like I said I will go back and try some other beers. I always give a place a second chance.

Now Molloys. What a change! Brillant pub now. Excellent Irish food. Good rotating ales (does Tetleys and Bass the proper bitter way which is almost unheard of around me) but you never get local or unusual ales. Do a 7 pints, 8th free card. One of my fav boozers and best one in the high street itself. Only thing - I do have a couple of freinds who think the ale isnt well served but I've never had a problem personally.

Disaster! O'neills no longer showing Sky Sports. Cannot believe it...but apparently its across all its UK outlets. Think this will have a big inpact on the brand. Saturdays now will be a swift half and food instead of at least 4 pre-match pints. Shame as staff brilliant.

I really like the O'Neills chain and this pub ticks all my boxes. Cheap ale, food and footie on the big screen. Fab.

great pub been drinkin there quite a few years now i think 5 years is alwys a laugh in there the only let down is the toilts

Im not generally a fan of ONeills pubs but I quite like this one. The stone floor and dark wood furnishings create a nice old world effect and the layout means there is plenty of room to move around without weaving in and out of tables. Service can be a bit hit and miss but is generally friendly. They do seem to have an obsession with serving the coldest beer in Watford, but I guess that is what punters want these days, or are told thats what they want and believe it.

Only popped in here for a couple before moving on, it was non-pretentious as all O'Neills are so that's always a plus - got packed very quickly, but you know what you get when you visit one of these. Bar staff were quick & efficient. I'd go back here over some of the more 'look at me' places on The Parade. ...unless I'm having a night where I want to be looked at.

Nice place , always had a laugh when i've been here.

Hertsman we are running a some Irish Ales from 19th - 25th November. It is two Irish Brewers going head to head, the winner will have their ales served in O'Neills. They are bottled ales not draught....but its a start

Now that the music is back, this pub is getting better. A selection of lagers but not one proper ale!!! Had to resort to Guinness (I do lit the odd pint).
|
Now I do like this pub but can someone there PLEASE look at the toilets! A Sainsbury's shopping basket is not an adequate overspill for the mens urinal.

This place is fantastic. I am always popping into this pub. During the week it's chilled out with excellent food. The weekends are always good, especially Fridays now that Live Music is back. It can sometimes be abit quite but at least you get served quickly! It's a good place to go - it doesn't have loud banging music with a DJ that never shuts up and it;s not jemmed packed like sardines in a tin - you can actually visit the toilets without having to barge your way through. Check it out, I;m sure you will enjoy it - as long as you are not 18 years old!!!!!

Jamie 896 you are a clown could it possibly be that you were in Yates not O'Neills!....Having just seen "anonymous" comment in Yates Wine Lodge, the same comment as O'Neills!

Great pub especially now that live music is back on Friday nights. Good craic, no chavs and no trouble. Well worth a visit this summer as all their beers are served extra cold.

Music has returned - I caught "The Bears" after seeing them play at O'Neills in Snorbens - Brilliant band! Just what the pub needs to return to it's glory days!
|
This place will never return to its hayday when its original Management, Crew and unique Doorstaff knew how to pack it out. Its been a while since i seen a queue which was part and parcel of a very successful high street venue. Cutbacks after Cutbacks have made the offer a shadow of what it used to be. You corporate clowns at Head office should bow your heads in shame. Its embarrassing to see it try to emulate earlier days.
|
Music has returned! This is a good thing.

Great pub, well worth a visit....if only for a pint of guinness. I have been in here at lunchtime as well as my usual saturday night out and always had great service and an enjoyable time. If anything to complain about....no smirnoff ice which is my girlfriend's drink of choice

What happened to the live music? ask the new manager, shes decided that it wasnt good enough for the pub. This is why the pub is sliding down hill, new door staff, under staffed due to cut backs and just a desperate attempt to post her mark on it.
|
Whatever happened to the live music?
|
Kevin Rowlands has made a fortune out of this place alone for the amount of times they play 'Come on Eileen'. Over priced beer. Too many scumbags in here on a weekend and for some reason it's always a magnet for pissed people who like a punch up.
|
Best bet is Friday nite in ere when there is a live band, good laugh and brings something diff to Wattie
|
Live bands on friday nights!! Fantastic!!

A good pub with a decent range of typical irish-theme pub beers. Food is decent. Plenty of space inside although the Music Room around the side has just been converted into a seperate cheesy 80s disco with revolving dance floor.
