Latest news is it is up for sale again by the lady owner.
|

Its been purchased by a woman called Sheila Pickering who is applying for residential......I think your right to say it wont be re-opening as a public house in the future which is a real shame....
|
Latest talk is a woman is interested in buying it for a wedding business so doubt it will re-open as a local again.
|
Now closed until further notice.

revolting meal
|
closed last week due to a fire.

The rabbits in the cage have long gone and so have the customers.
|
Went in last week and the place had 2 customers at 9 in the evening.
Across the road the Leather Bottle and Prince Albert were full.

Not a bad pub but when you see notices around the pub saying drug dealers will be banned for life what impression does that give you. Beer range is limited and not cheap and food expensive.Nice gardens at the back with rabbits in a cage.

My first ever visit to this place and I was quite impressed. Myself and three relatives decided this was the place to eat. Despite the bar being pretty full (it was Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon), we were advised that maximum waiting time for food was thirty minutes. We dined in the "Bike Shed". Food was slightly pricey, but was served very quickly once ordered, and was totally enjoyable, served by pleasant staff. On the whole, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Nice place just off the village green, 15 mins from the A12. Non-smoking family room with helpful staff; garden with kids play area. Good beer and good menu, well prepared. An excellent find, thanks to beerintheevening!

Really nice pub that sells real ales (an excellent Spitfire) and serves supurd food. Really cost in the winter and with a lovely beer garden for those summer evenings
