Just round the corner from the Molly House in the Gay Village, this pub is now called the Goose. It was the busier of the two pubs we visited. London Pride & Dizzy Blonde were the two real ales. Staff were friendly. But I wouldn't rush back here.

Not sure why these negative comments have been posted. Paddy's is a very friendly pub, and I've always found the staff and service great. Been going in regularly for three years, and never seen a fight in there once. Don't jump the the conclusion that every scally lad in the village is a rent boy.

a proper pub amid the sea of bars and takeaways.
the food is great

This place is Manchester's Rent Boy Central and you can almost guarantee a fight-a-night! The mens toilets are probably the very worst in the Village and to get them you have to fight through a regular clique of senior clientele and their more junior 'purchases' for the evening. On my last visit the taps in the only basin weren't working and there are no hand-drying facilities anyway. The bar staff communicate with a series of grunts and nods and charisma is sadly lacking. Apart from all that, it's ok...

A traditional pub in the Village. I went in yesterday for the first time in some years and the pub had a pleasant atmosphere with two well kept cask ales.

There was also a decent-looking lunchtime food menu, although I've not eaten there for some years.

Convenient for a lot of the city centre and coach station and worth a visit.

By far the friendliest pub in the village, in fact probably the only real 'pub'
Regards to Patrick and the boys, keep it up

Went with a gay mate (i'm straight). Several hoodie type chavs in the pub. I was asked to do 'someting' by a drinker. I come to the conclusion its a pub full of rent boys.

Perhaps the only outlet for real ale in the Gay Village. Good Beer Guide listed on a couple of occasions. Good if you are waiting for a bus at Chorlton Street.

Excellent, friendly bar whether gay or straight. Food is basic but cheap and well made. Look out for the transexuals though! They're less convincing than Emily and Florence!
