Cross Foxes, Shrewsburyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
A medium sized room pub with 4 ales on- Bass, Worthington cask, Salopian Shropshire Gold, Three Tuns XXX. The Bass was 3.20 and tasted nice and in good condition, the barman and barmaid were friendly. The locals were also quite friendly towards us. There was also a fruit machine, pub quiz machine, darts and the telly which was showing Sky Sports when we were in. Allows dogs in as well. A proper locals pub which is worth checking out, only problem is it is a walk from Shrewsbury itself.

Nice pub shame about the welcome - or lack of it. Small single bar pub which is nicely kept and some good real ales which are also kept well. There the compliments end.
Strangers enter and are greeted as if they have two heads. The majority of the locals huddle around the end of the bar by the TV and worship the landlord who must have extreme arthritis as he seldom seems to move from his spot.
Horse racing days are particularly (non) interesting as locals in various degrees of drunkeness shout loudly about the donkey that just backed that should have pi**ed it coming into the final turn.
To be avoided unless you've been consecrated into the the following.

Visited pub last week with a few friends. Locals and barman seemed unfriendly and made us feel uncomfortable. Needless to say we had one pint there and left... Beer was ok.

This is a clean pub! The tables and leather seating positively gleam, and the Landlord was out flicking his mop around each time a customer left. Beerwise, fairly standard offerings in good condition. A mature and pleasant clientele when we visited. Though not much to draw real ale lovers alone, we liked the pride suggested by the cleanliness and the comfortable ambience of the place, so we would definitely return.

Pleasant little one roomed locals pub just across the English Bridge or the Greyfriars Bridge. Nice lounge with comfortable seating and old wood fittings, plenty of shields etc on the ledges. Had Bass, Worthington and London Pride on handpump. It also has a handpump with M & B mild on it, but when I asked for it I was told that it was in fact keg (naughty, naughty). I had a pint of the Bass which was well kept and had a go on the ancient golf game in the corner. Everyone seemed very friendly, it's a nice comfortable pub, nothing special, but still worth calling in when on a pub crawl of this part of Shrewsbury.

Called in on spec as we were passing while doing Good Beer Guide pubs and found a friendly local with a good guest real ale on.

A small, friendly, warm pub serving a well kept selection of beers.
