Nectar Bar and Club, Fulhamback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I made a reservation for my recent birthday at Nectar Bar. It was my 30th so I wanted a pretty special night. I ordered food for up to forty people a week in advance, but on the evening when I enquired what time the food was coming, I was told the chef had gone home! The bar staff were slow and all my guests had to wait up to half an hour to get a drink. I rang the bar after the night to see what happened with the food, noone seemed to know or care. So what was supposed to be a special night turned into a pretty embarressing night. I would avoid the Nectar Bar like the plague!!!

Everyone knows that if you want to go for a big night out or even a quiet drink, King's Road is not the place to go.
Although there are a few adequate pubs, the clientele is amongst the most uninspiring in London. No longer are the establishments of this once essential artery of London chic simply a hunting ground for coked-up Sloaney Ponies and rugger buggers; The King's Road and its tributeries now attract a more eclectic but ultimately less enjoyable group of people to share bar space with.
At least with The Sloanes you know your enemy and to an extent enjoy their stupidity. Now however, you are more likely to be faced with nouveau pretension, 'smart' suits and shiney shirt/tie combos. No girl is safe from gaggles of pseudo-trendy young men with spikey hair and uncontrollable hormones.
Even more disappointingly, the bar staff of many local establishments has declined in line with this trend.
Nectar Bar exemplifies and indeed epitomises this new wave. The bar has a decent cocktail and wine list and is in a great location but the drawbacks are considerable in number and result in a lack of class in every department.
The doormen beg for a chance to turn you away even if the bar is empty; the cloakroom is poorly managed. However it was the bar staff that were most at fault.
It took over half an hour to be served by a charmless barman who spent a great deal of time answering personal calls on his mobile phone and pinching his colleagues (maybe its the new high-five). It was one of those occasions where the bar staff have that horrible 'Team Crazy' attitude towards one another and seem to think that serving drinks badly and unprofessionaslly is cool and aloof. Just go to bar school. Please.
I was with a group of mates in whose company I rarely have a bad night but Nectar changed that. A combination of an ingenuous clientele and staff that should relocate to Magaluf made my night a huge disappointment.
Avoid.

I totally agree with the previous reviewer. The Kings Road is really preppy and it gets frustrating at times because it all seems so generic! Nectar has a certain chic-ness that makes it stand out from the majority of the other bars on the Kings Road. Its less preppy and more sophisticated. It seems everyone has has the same complaint though - the over-strict doormen!

A sophisticated joint for Fulham; most of the inhabitants round here are used to the abundance of preppy pubs and bars in SW6 which are nice and friendly, safe, have good food and drink and where everyone knows everyone (you know pearls and pink shirts etc)
This bar however is much more brash with its cash and attracts a good looking and stylish bunch of people who drink a lot of cocktails and shots whilst listening to super trendy music with an interesting light displays on the walls.
A starter for somewhere like Boujis, Tantra or Mamalanji perhaps?

Nectar is lots of fun on a Friday or Saturday and equally as good in the week for a quiet drink and mini-pizza. The cocktail list is incredible. Never heard of half of whats on offer although would suggest trying the Nectopia. Can be extremely busy when Chelsea FC play their home games so bare this in mind. Would benefit with having a larger selection of beers/ lagers on tap although the wine list is impressive.

Reserved an area in Nectar for birthday last weekend. Its a nice little bar. Not too rah rah like alot of the others around here and the crowd seemed fun. Had a good bday even though we were drowning our sorrows because England lost....again. Thnks to Nic the manager for looking after us.

I came on a friday night, in time for happy hour. 2 for 1 cocktails she says, so I order 4 cocktails, she tries to make me 8 cocktails, I say no, I only wanted those 4, she says, 2 for 1 on the same cocktails only...and so the argument went on. Fair enough if she reckons she told me (although if I heard I wouldn't have ordered 8, really, would I, who wants 8 cocktails??). What annoyed me was that she had carried on 'tutting' me, telling allll the bar staff AND I think she may have been the manager! Learn a bit of customer service lady. As for the rest of it, the bar was small, drinks overpriced, bar staff looked to scared to smile and it's full of la dee da chelsea socialites with a real lack of atmosphere. Have fun here if you fancy a challenge. Plenty of other good places around, if you fancy a bit more of a down to earth drink go to ONE pub across the road, beer garden, bbq and normal people, perfect!

Went to check out Nectar and watch footie before going to Crazy Larrys. It was definitely better than an All Bar One or Slug and Lettuce as the last reviewer suggests. It isnt trying too hard to be cool like alot of the other bars along the Kings Road. Yes it does have fancy wallpaper (some might say over-the-top) and a huge cocktail list but it didnt seem like it was taking itself tooo seriously. Good vibe, good food although perhaps a touch on the pricey side.

Now renamed the Nectar Bar. Lots of fancy colours in there including funky-coloured seats. Still shows the football. Have applied for a late 2am license for weekends otherwise normal closing time. Looks OK but feels a little bit like an All Bar Pitcher and Lettuce for me to go rushing back there.
