3 ales were on in this corner pub with a large front room - York Guzzler, Consiton Bluebird Bitter & Butcombe Mendip Spring. Westons Old Rosie is also available. Service was efficient and the locals seemed friendly.

I'm a regular at this place, been going for around 10 years. It's just recently aquired a refurbishment & a new manager who's doing a wonderful job. There's the usual Rock nights on Monday, Friday & Saturday, live music on Thursdays & a quiz on Tuesdays. The best pub in Lancaster!

Steady, unspectactular pub that has seen many an upgrade but is still a shadow (in business and stylistic terms) of what it was in the late 80s, early 90s. Music is generally far too loud.

Great pub. Different, but lively and friendly. Cosy in winter too. Good selection of beers, ciders etc, and a pool table in a proper pub building.
|
Lots of character and decent live music; good beer range but quality very average as with much of Lancaster

A student friendly pub with a great atmosphere, created by the management and staff-and no thick 'townies'.

An excellent pub for intelligent people. The beer is always in top condition, and the landlord is always working behind the bar, unlike some of the lazy b******s who are never in their pubs.A well managed operation.
