Changed hands last year and new landlords seem to be making a good job of running the place. Usually 3 real ales on offer. Food very good. Beer garden is currently being improved too.

Good food - lots of vegetables

Lovely food. Both Meat and vegetarian. Beer excellent although no guest beers - all Green King, Courage or Moorland. My review still gives a top rating though.

A very friendly inn, sadly stuck with Greene King, albeit well-kept. Good food, and regular live music at weekends.

Had a midweek meal here the other day. Very good food. Use locally caught produce. Beers well kept. Landlord remembers the orders. Always a nice touch.

Since being taken over by David and Melanie (soon to be ex-The Golden Pot) in August 2006 the place has been smartened up no end. The real ales are far better now than the murky stuff that used to be served (David's cask marque obviously counts for something). Good beer, people who care... can you ask for much more? Well, food for a start. However even this is due to be started soon (no firm date as yet) and from past experience this will be superb. Sunday lunches are a must - you may think pricey at 7 but it is a very good sized portion. Go to this pub!

yeah Martin is right, great fun a few years back. Th enew owner is a great guy and is making a packet off teh food, although teh old drinkers from the place dont seem to have gone back, appart from teh odd nostalgic visit! does a damn good steak nowadays!

had to many new owners in recent years, when Alan ran it back in 2001-2002 it was one of the best pubs in the area always fun and packed to ther rafters with people which made it a great pub to be in. Since then never really regained its popularity and only really survives because of the Theatre and Treloars regular custom
