This pub has changed hands/ managers frequently recently. It used to be reasonable, but the last time I was there, the kitchen was 'out of action' for a refit. A quick half of Alton Pride from fff brewery was ok, but the pub had no atmosphere.

Food was just about alright and the Ale wasn't good at all.
Wouldn't bother again.

This pub should be so much better. While there's a half decent selection of local beers, the pricing is a little optimistic for the standard. The menu is about as bland as the Ikea furniture in the restaurant area, and the yokels in the other part of the pub don't add to the beauty. Don't expect too much from the food. It is well situated however, almost exactly between Guildford and Winchester on the A31 so good for a quick call should you feel the need. The play area in the garden is good for youngsters, but the constant traffic on the main road isn't exactly conducive to a relaxed atmosphere.

Daughters 10th birthday! Children wanted chicken teddies - none!! So ordered fishfingers chips beans- beans didn't turn up! About 10 chips each and three small fishfingers! One meal didn't turn up, had to chase! Food was all cold and my cheeseburger was pink in the middle so I sent it back! Waiter came and put about 10 beans on each Childs plate and told me that chef said the probe said 63 degrees so my burger WAS cooked!! News mr chef!! Should be 75 degrees! Get some food hygiene training - hey I'll come and do it!! Then to add insult to injury- waiter who had served us twice in last 3 months or so.... Said he needed to sack the chef but he had himself only been there a week!!! What rubbish! Went to tesco and had a yummy cooked bacon sandwich!! Won't be visiting again!!

Great food. New head Chef apparently. We've eaten there a few times now and the food was consistantly good and the atmosphere pleasant. The Garden on a sunny day is a great place to eat, and they have a huge area for kids to play if you bring them along. The steak and the burgers are fab, and cos my girlfriend is a vegetarian she had a lovely pasta dish. I highly recommend this nice Inn / Pub to anyone in the area, or just passing by.

Nice friendly pub, made very welcome, great selection of Real Ales & largers, Food was fantastic and a great price, I had one of there speciality homemade Rump Burgers with stilton & bacon (lots of other toppings to choose from too) & the wife had the Hunters chicken. All in all a very pleasent experience, I can recommend to all. lovely big beer garden as well.

Have recently eaten here and found the food good, service was excellent and would recommend to others. Alot better since the refurbishment. The new food offering is great along with some of the special offers like the new crunch buster menu at only 2.50 for a main meal, fantastic offer and worth every penny. Will be visiting alot more regularly now.

Not much character, but very good, well kept beer and an excellent sunday roast which is substantial and good value. Also a great garden for the kids, lots of space and friendly staff
