Graham, Bar Manager extraordinaire, may have gone to Patagonia to teach the locals Scottish but life goes on at the New Bell - surely the finest pub in the world - with the legendary owners, Richard and Sue even popping up behind the bar. Recipient of yet another Tendring CAMRA Pub of the Year certificate in 2011 the pub is the hub of all things Harwich. Don't miss the lunchtime soups and Mighty Oak Oscar Wilde - a regular ale in the back bar. Simply the best.

A friendly pub situated in Old Harwich near the Sailing Club. There was a good selection of beers on when I visted, and I would recommend a vist to this establishment when you are in this part of the town.

Yep, definitely a 10 out of 10 pub. Excellent beer, good food, fun staff, friendly locals and all in a proper pub too. If you find yourself here in Harwich don't miss it!

Come and experience the charms of old Harwich at this absolutely fantastic local with an ever-changing selection of real ale and probably the world's finest collection of snowglobes. Look out for the Nethergate Priory Mild in the back bar and the lunchtime food.

Fantastic - typical classic Essex pub with top beer (Nethergate), superb ham egg & chips, and no pretensions. Great pub in a great town.
