Visited the place a few months back had a Beer festival on was made to feel very welcome by the regulars.

Not many in when I visited early doors but Eagle was OK. As previously mentioned there is a temp. staffing situation. No evidence of food.

AFAIK the pub is currently being run by a manager whilst Charles Wells seek new licensees.

Correction - 3.20 a pint!

Rumour has it that it is about to close. No atmosphere, caters for locals, no interest. 33.20 per pint. Limited choice.

I only had beer this time, which was excellent. A bit of a tinge of cleaning product in the air, but it was worth the visit! I'll try the food some time and re-post when I have.

New landlady there now for a couple of years and it's a good vilage local, just started doing food again and although I haven't tried it yet it looks really good - simple food and ell priced. Good range of beers and always a guest available

After changing hands several times, the couple running it now have made a good effort to attract back customers particularly since the Poplar Farm pub in the village closed. Good atmosphere and real ale.
