A decent bar in a former shop. Well kept cask ales in a relaxed atmosphere.

A bit doubtful on first walking in but the beer was spot on and a good range, friendly staff, good service, simple and straightforward surroundings. Not many pubs you can say that about unfortunately.

Great selection of beers. 4 handpumps on which were well kept. Also had the great but not often seen Moravka unpasteurised lager. Had an interesting nibbles menu with different cheeses/meats/nuts/olives... chilled ambience with people reading the Observer and doing the crossword.

Always a good range of real ales and bottled beers. I agree with the other comments - too stark and characterless. Guaranteed to suck the life out of me!

Simply the best beer range in the area. Always changing range of several guest ales kept well. 2 types of Konig Weissbeer (fantastic German wheat beer) Nice range of bar snacks Clean simple interior, if a bit clinical. It doesn't have that cosy feeling a pub should as it's often too bright. Nice seating area outside Friendly helpful staff

A really nice little friendly bar in the Whalley Range area of South Manchester. Stocks a really good range of real ales and nice foreign lagers. Completely non-smoking indoors since its opening, although it does have seating in a courtyard out the front which is pleasant on a sunny afternoon. Often frequented by young slightly bohemian types (presumably from nearby Chorlton)!

About the same size as the laudrette next door but not quite as exciting.
No smoking.
