A rather modern looking bar in a large room. Separate pool room. Several large sofas but little other furniture. 2 ales on offer - a Purple Moose and a house beer brewed by Coors. The Purple Moose was superb yesterday at �2.90. Well worth visiting but I'm not sure that I'd want a long session here.

Another great place where locals and outsiders get on just fine. Good atmosphere and decent enough drink.

Came here inspired by the vague memory of the reviews here. Walked in when some club rugby was on which might have explained why so few women were in (this was a Saturday night). Selection of beers was disappointing and it did have a bit of a locals pub feel. Only stayed for the one but that was long enough to appreciate the Welsh language prog rock on the jukebox and the overall friendliness of the place (including the barmaid who was very pleasant).

I agree that the standard of bar maid here is the highest in town and has been for last few years. Only ever ventured in a few times, but had a good time always.

Been drinking here for about 9 years now. Best pub in Aber. I may be a Welsh Nationalist but I have no problem with the English drinking here as it all ads to the fantastic atmosphere. Great pub, wonderful people and awsome food - especially the chips (even if Dyfed is no longer in the kitchen!). Any down to earth person will love this pub!. Sarah the barmaid isn't bad either!

Lots of fancy beer taps but not one dispensing MILD.

Ignore all the Sais paranoia, this is a decent place to have a drink in so long as you don't go in draped in a St George's cross.
No real ale though, so minus points there. I would have thought a Double Dragon wouldn't have been too much to ask for?
Note to hetero males/lesbians The barmaids are also the FITTEST in Aber (as of Halloween 2005!)
