Tried the gammon here today along with the Butcombe blond,Have to admit it was the best presented and served gammon i've had in the area and, plentiful compared to some overpriced ones i've had. old style pub, quite large but as the previous writer says it doesn't feel/seem it. So i shall go back and try something else. So a thumbs up for me.

Largish country pub with a good selection of decent food (specials chalked on a board) and a nice beer garden. Friendly bar staff. In spite of the size of the pub it still manages to retain a cosy atmosphere. Two of Butcombe's beers on tap plus Bristol Beer Factory Red. Also Thatcher's and Ashton Press ciders. Well worth a visit.

Well cared for Butcombe pub with a lovely garden and two beamy bars. The happily uncomplicated food is excellent and makes good use of local produce. I'm feeling hard to please today so will deduct a mark for having Butcombe Blond on keg and not handpump. Tsk.

Very nice butcombe owned pub, needless to say the butcombe was top notch, 8/10

Visited on one of the few sunny days this month, and sat in the huge and well kept garden. Butcombe Ale was on good form as was the friendly barmaid and wonderful Ploughmans with ham, cheddar AND stilton we enjoyed! Menu appears to be what would be considered 'traditional' pub fayre, and a little too uncomplicated for some, but ideal for us.

Cracking little local serving a good range of decent food and ale - happily, one of the many in this area. On my last visit recently the Butcombe was on superb form, and there was a pleasant mix of eaters and drinkers, split between the 2 bars. Deservedly popular.

Large but friendly family-run pub. Owned by Butcombe - so serves Butcombe Bitter, Blonde & Gold plus a guest beer. Good selection of wines plus an excellent menu - our favourite is the Ring O'Bells Toastie - a good snack for 4 but plenty of local dishes (Butcombe beef & local trout). Four bars and a garden.
