we were very impressed by the new look of the southdowns pub.and we were very happy with the meal we had and the service was very good and very quick.we will defentley be going back there again.and there prices were average we will defentley be going there again.

Situated on a very busy traffic island you can sit outside and admire the traffic jams. Tuesday evening,very busy with diners of all ages families and couples.. It is part of the "Sizzler" chain of pubs so I was surprised to find Tim Taylor Landlord, Wells Bombardier and London Pride on pumps. Lager seemed to be the biggest seller consumed by the window fitters whose vans blocked up the carpark.Catch it at a quieter time and it might give a better impression.

Had to laugh about the freshly made soup comment. I know the pub very well and also know 4 people who have worked there over the years. Believe me NOTHING is freshley made! All ready made processed and mostly microwaved. Don't go there to eat! It's a nice enough place for a drink though

visited 23 Feb for a soup lunch, very nice, hot bowls and a roll that was also hot and crispy. However, two minor criticisms; (1) butter portion containers are not normally little waxed paper pots that look remarkably like those little paper sauce pots that sit beside the tomato and BBQ sauce dispenser in Mc Donalds! (2) Corona lager is normally served with a bit of lime in the top of the bottle. Still quite a good place but beginning to slip behind its big brother up the road in Worthing.

6 of us had the vast misfortune to have a meal at this 'pub' last week. Out of the 6 menls ordered no less than 4 were sent back; frankly we should have gone to the Chinese next door.

Good pub. But they seem to have a pub quiz all the time. I think the manager runs them, and quite frankly he enjoys the sound of his own voice a little too much. The questions come out over the PA system very loud and will ruin your night if you dont take part. Other than that a good pub, if you here the quiz starting I would recommend leaving it will intrude on your evening too much if you dont
