Apparently they have installed a micro-brewery upstairs but we didn't find it as the pub was shut for refurbishment ! Perhaps next time?

Student central! Like walking into a scene from Hollyoaks or something. Cheap, and busy. Generally what you'd expect.
|
Used to be a fire station, hence the name! Not the best of places, aimed at students at nearby uni.But cheap beer. I suppose you cant have everything, Or can you?
|
A horrible place. The Stella did not taste like Stella at all. The Heineken was disgusting. All served in plastic glasses even in the afternoon. I can only assume that anyone who goes regularly, or has more than one drink, has no taste buds - or probably no taste. Avoid unless you are happy to drink slops because it;s cheap.

1 a pint, well managed and ideal for the student market its aiming for
|
Agree with chopin - awful place - cant believe places like this still exist - lager tasted like cider shandy!
|
Not a place to go for real beer, but 1 a pint for carlsberg has to be saluted in 2008! 9/10

It's a good pub, obviously aimed at students but anyone else is welcome. Always found the staff friendly and they have a couple of pool tables which is a bit of a rarity round here. Food's cheap as chips(!) and is tasty too. Be warned, although Mondays are a quid a drink, it's students only (unless you're mates with one of the staff ;-)

The place Rocks lee is the best mate a viking could have

the inferno rocks!

Never been back since it was taken over, I think, by Punch, who promptly ripped out the old Firefly & Firkin brewing equipment.

Good place to watch footy, from what I recall. Didn't have any problems with barstaff, so they can't have been that bad when I was there.
Impressed with food - had the all day breakfast. Plenty of it, for a sensible price. Perfect before pub crawl or footy match down the road!

On our visit the management were nothing but friendly and courteous. It's true that they have bad mood but who doesn't? They don't let it impair their judgement and keep a cool head when dealing with problem customers. Recommend this pub to any student who is looking for a great night out with cheap yellow card drinks.

The bar staff are a joke, they totally ruined everybodys fun at the england wales rugby world cup quarter final.

First off i was NOT barred from here for illegal gambling, lets get that straight!! I was actually barred because having been plied with beer all day by the so-called manager i ended up drunk.I admit i was a little unsteady on my feet, but this in no way deserved the hysterical reaction i received shouted at "get out and never come back, youre barred......permenently!!" I was in no way abusive and i sure as hell wasnt gambling illegally, but its obvious what sort of manager this pub has by this ludicrous accussation against me!!!

As Ian says, students are not the problem here and never have been and no, I'm not a student myself. However, this place was preferable back in the Firkin days when you could get a decent pint. Illegal gambling! Say it isn't so Ian.

As the manager of the Inferno. The only reason ian doesn't like the pub/manager is because I barred him for illegal gambling. I would appreciate people not taking his comment into account when considering this establishment

This pub is by far the best pub in Bournemouth. The management are nothing but friendly, with excellent bar staff. The place to be for any self respecting student. I have enjoyed 2 years of mayhem there.

Amazing, buzzing lively place during term time for students but really quite quiet over the rest of the year

As you asked. Being a fan of students of the female kind, this pub was just the ticket. Fun & frolicks & great beer. Any fan of this place should visit Stringfellows-similar atmosphere. Keep it up! Fab.

Students not the problem its the appallingly ill mannered excuse for a manager. He shouldnt be allowed near a bar with his attitude

Not to kean on this pub, weird atmosphere, too many students in there. Even though im a student myself, there is too many.
