Spotlessly clean pub with a coal fire.Pool+darts room at rear.Excellent service and a perfect pint of tennents lager. Two flat screen tv,s showing any sport requested(racing and football mostly)they even provide betting slips for the local bookies(aprox 80yds away).Regulars were a friendly crowd with laughter seemingly the order of the day.

Probably the busiest Pub in Linlithgow and no wonder. Best pint of mixed gas beer and best pint of tennents lager. Unlike other pubs the owner isn't frightened to put his hand in his pocket and buy a round for the regulars now and then and it has a golf section and horseracing club
All major football games can be seen and all horse racing meetings shown
I note a previous commenter said the regulars always get served first, well thats the way it should be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And how does it get regulars?? New customers. Seems obvious to me.

Treat all customers well. Sane or not. Then the pub will survive.

Otherwise!!!

If the bar man is busy out front gassing, or talking to his mates... How do you expect him to be able to serve you at the same time?

This establishment is for sane individuals only.

Also a pub in a town with a population of circa 20k cannot survive on passing trade, it relies on a base of regulars.

Was working in the area for three months and this was the nearest pub to my digs. Looks like a nice we friendly local. Boy was I wrong.

This is the type of place that everyone turns around and looks at you when you enter and ingore you whilst you are there. Thankfully I visited with workmates but after a few nights we decided to take our custom elsewhere. We did speak to a bar manager in another pub in the town and he confirmed that it has a certain reputation for driving away new customers.

The tall barman with the moustache must be the slowest and most ignorant I have ever come across in my travels in Britain.

Be Warned. PS the pint is fairly good.

Nice small local pub with a good selection of beers at very reasonable prices. The pub could do with a spruce up but it is clean and tidy. Another good point is that most of the pub is a blind spot for a mobile phone signal so you can have a quiet pint without listening to other peoples phone conversations. The licencee is a friendly guy but if it is conversation you want "forget it". 99% of the locals will ignore you, even if you visit often. Finally be patient waiting for your pint. The main barman will eventually serve you but only after he has seen to his friends, cleaned the glasses and then if there is nothing else to do you will be served very grudgingly.
