It is what it is - a food outlet, a shame as this was a good pub years ago. found it clicky and a litlle unfriendly to newcomers. food is good and that is the best reason to visit.

Just wanted to 'update' reviews for this pub. Took my parents there for a meal December 2009 and it was great. They have a small separate restaurant (holds about 16-20 people): food was freshly cooked, chef and waiting staff very charming and helpful. It seems to have changed since previous posts and I would recommend it. I live in London and the food at Coopers Arms was better than many 'gastropubs' in my area.

Classic local pub with consistently well cared for and everchanging selection of real ale. Hope they don't try and burn it down again with their well stoked fires!! Suffering from the smoking ban, shame! How many great locals are we going to lose....

excellent real ales no food Awful live music Superb quiz Very Cliquey Pool rooms full of yobs

Great live music venue - shame the festival field was built on some years ago as it used to attract such a brilliant range of acts inc. Bay City Rollers and T-Rex around carnival time. Great beer, friendly folk and a lovely setting.

Good beer but sadly not been there since we were peppered with lumps of chocolate and lighted cigarette butts by a group of drunken yobs.... staff were not interestd .... a real shame

Dog's bollocks!
Live music, pool table, open fire, excellent beer, excellent staff.
