Name is now just "The Bakers"

It is the only pub in the area that seems to serve St Edmunds North & South! Most of the staff are pretty attentive and pleasant but there is 1 woman that has to be the grumpiest old blighter I've ever encountered!

This pub has recently been refurbished and re-opened (still under Greene King Tenancy) as The Noble Art. Garish decor... red, white and blue with colour coded corners(tacky boxing references everywhere). Table service, though why I have no idea as half the seating are terrible stools! Prices are sky high.. 7 pounds for dble vodka & coke... can only buy doubles by the way! Can only assume is a tax write off as why anyone would want to go there is a mystery!

Perhaps I should mention the beer as well. The pub was a Green King pub during my stay. They also had Guiness on tap.

I visited Cambridge, from the US, from mid-July to mid-August. I found the bartenders, especially Jason, very friendly. I plan on visiting again when I visit the UK.
I hope that their soldier Tommy is doing well in his latest stint in the war zone.
Cheers Mates!

I quite like this pub. Handy for pre-match drinks, and has a big screen and plenty of tables. Sometimes fairly quiet as a bit out of town but the food and beer isn't bad.
