The Gloveworks was a great place and thoroughly deserving of its years in the CAMRA Good beer Guide. However, @ 4 years ago, a fire in the adjoining building moved over into the Gloveworks via the roof and it was badly smoke damaged. ....since then, the owner of the building has died, and the place is currently in a poor state. Looks doubtful if it will be used again as a pub or anything else for that matter.

Been a few times over the summer the curry club (thursday) is good value, meal for 2 including a pint and a glass of wine for 12. Followed by a live act drinks a little pricey for a pub. Friday and Saturdays loud and lively over 25's disco get in before 10.45 otherwise your charged 3. Opens till one and its packed!.

Good real ales a tad pricy. On live act nights it would be an advantage if you suffer from full or partial deafness to avoid the terrible pain in your ears. If you don't take protection you'll end up with hearing loss and then join in and appreciate these shows perhaps without the aid of ale. Too late for most in here but it's good advice. More advice, if you can't afford a quality sound system or an engineer to set it up correctly then for now simply turn it down a notch. Very nice bar staff 10/10

Excellent pub with a great choice of ales and some very good home cooked food.
The discretionary 'Over 25's Only' is intelligently applied, and this makes it a much nicer place.
The veggie bean burgers are excellent

Nice pub in a pleasant setting; the local beer (Howard Town) was very good. Looked to be a lot going on.

Six ever changing guest beers, totally free house. Local bands Thurs, discos Fri/Sat (when extension till 12pm). Caberet Sun afternoon from 3.30pm. Function room upstairs. Overlooking Glossop Brook and Harehills Park. Has roof terrace and frontal benches. The landlords 25+ age limit, and a doorman at weekends to enforce it, keeps free of all trouble. A great place to be.
