Swinton's has now become Navya's, a bar/restaurant which serves Malaysian food.

Sadly it's no longer run by the mother/daughter team and consequently this pub has gone down hill. New owners have tried to jazz it up by adding purple LED lights but it looks tacky.
Popped in yesterday to find two of the four lagers off and only one ale, a bit poor really especially for a Wednesday afternoon.
New owner also has an attitude problem. Tried to charge me 3.80 for a half pint lager. When I queried the price, rather than just apologise for the mistake and refund me, he got abusive.
To be honest, there are several other (better) places around King's Cross to drink in which don't try and rip you off. I won't be going back.

Pride and Blacksheep on offer yesterday both undrinkable although reasonably priced. Efficient and friendly staff even though it was packed out with a large party in the back. There are far better pubs than this in the area.

warm and cosy pub, good selection of wine and the bar lady certainly knew her stuff and picked us a good red! I wouldnt really say it was a wine bar as such tho, is defo still a pub.

Posh wine bar......not worth a w@*k really.

Nicely crafted interior, plenty of candles and cushions and no TV.
However, only one ale on yesterday (Pride...yawn), and that ran out after two pints! On a Thursday?!?!? Get a grip!
Went over the road to the Lucas, which had it's usual three GK brews.
I'll pop by here again because I'm sure they can do better!

It is a revelation in this area. Home cooked food at lunchtime was very good and staff excellent. Prices not bad for London, I thought.

Definitely a useful pub to know of in the area. Plenty of room and very friendly staff. Ordered burgers which were ok, if not spectacular. Main gripe was the music, which involved heavy rotation of James Blunt and Euro-pop. Didn't seem to fit with the surroundings or the clientele. 5 Blunt songs in an hour (I counted) is a bit much for anyone surely!

What an absolute gem of a pub, hard to beleive that you could find such an establishment in the Kings X area. Made very welcome by friendly and attentive staff, good selction of beers and largers to suite most palates, price on par for London. Extensive menu for lunch time and best of all, in the evening, which is a blessing if you dont want to eat MCchicken or Kebab, not that expensive for the portions you receive. As Arnie said "I'll be Back".

One of the sleeker operations in the Kings Cross area, good clientele, no TVs , great real ales, cheap but fresh lunchtime food. Top quality evening food , only 3 mins from Kings cross, bigger than it looks from outside. Amiable staff.

Only been here once but wasn't impressed. The staff seemed nice enough, but there seems to be no air as I left stinking of smoke, and no one at our table was smoking. It doesn't normally bother me, but we were only there for a couple of hours.

Great food , off the main road, upmarket clientele, standard beers , large selection of wines, close to kings cross, fast , friendly service

This is quite a nice pub now that it has been refurbished. The staff are very friendly and you can often get a seat on a Friday night. I have not tried the food but it looks quite posh and you get big portions.

This place is a real let down - the refurbishment of the place is ok, though it lacks character, but the biggest disappointment is the food, which varies from bland to revolting.

On Swinton Street, 3mn walk from Kings Cross. Good place to sit back and relax while enjoying fine wines, spirits and beers.
