This pub has changed massively over the last couple of months, both inside and out! For the better! The addition of the Cask Ales and Craft Beers is great and they also now serve a premium Sunday roast. A little bit quirky inside now, which is fab, but they've not gone so far so as to put anyone off. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

A bit tatty, but the single real ale was fine and the food OK whenever I've been.
Chirpy southern hemisphere bar staff, off and on, seems to be a tendency.

A poor pub. like a dissapointing, small weatherspoons.

Pretty quiet when I popped in for a pint yesterday, but service was friendly and te beer in good condition. Pride or Broadside on offer. Decent enough if I'm in the area.

Now serving just one real ale, Youngs Special, permanently, but give me that in good condition (which is what it was) anyday over two sh*te beers. At 2.66pt for a 4.5% beer, it's good value for the area. Friendly barstaff.

Another quick pitstop for lunch, the staff were nice but some of the clientelle were a little rough. Might depend on the day and whatever's happening at Olympia as earlier in the week this place was quiet and refined.
Food looked ok and beer was slightly cheaper than some other outlets in the area. Music/MTV playing but wasn't too intrusive.
Methinks this might compete with the Albion as my local of choice...

Has always had a rather cold atmosphere, with some rather dubious characters amongst the clientele and disinterested bar staff. Having said that, they usually have a couple of real ales on if you happen to be escaping from an exhibition or just waiting for a train/tube from the nearby Kensington Olympia station. Reasonable pint of Morrissey Fox Mulled Ale had today.

having found no real ale at the Albion, we retired to the Beaconsfield and found London Pride (and Greene King IPA),,Cask Marque Accredited and pints voluntarily topped up too. It's an airy place with good provision for outdoor seating and certainly served its purpose on the way back to Olympia station!

Back in the new Firkin days this was a great little pub.
Such a shame to hear it has gone down hill.
I may have to swing back by as i used to really love this place and the staff.
Go back - or not??? Sometimes it is not a great idea... but i may just have to

When this pub re opened after the Firkin days (which were once great when Firkin pubs sold Firkin beer and were decent ale houses.) it was ok. It normally had two decent ales served from the barrel on stillage behind the bar.
Since then it has gone way downhill in the ale stakes but fair play that is clearly not the audience they are going for (as the Crown and Sceptre has that niche pretty well tied up.) The food is good and it is a decent boozer with little or no pretention to be anything else.

Lousy bar - especialy when the exhibition hall is occupied - i.e. most of the time. Dont go there alone. Beer is lousy too. Also, staff from the local Post Office sorting office like to take it over and generaly behave like idiots. It's not big or clever to pepper every sentence you utter with swear words lads - especially when those words can be heard two streets away. And I doubt that many of you could put into action what many of the words mean anyway.

This was previously a Firkin pub (the Frigate if memory serves), and was fairly ropey. Things started to look up after the change of name, and they do make an effort with the occasional real ale and also maintain a reasonable stock of Belgian beers (2 for 1 Tuesday). Food is cheap and cheerful, but fairly hearty. Unfortunately it can get a bit yobbish when there is a big function on at Olympia as all the chav staff seem to descend upon it.
