Rose and Crown, Charltonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Greene King pub in a rather nice village. There appears to be only one room these days. Tables are set out rather strangely with one large circular one blocking access to the bar. There's a limited range of food. Ales were Landlord & Old Golden Hen. The landlady seemed friendly enough. But other than the location, I'm struggling to find too much to recommend this place.

Only a short review, simply to say that nothing much has changed since my earlier review. Moderate ale, moderate food, friendly staff and good service. Nearly a good pub, but no cigar. My rating remains 6.

Very friendly barmaid and a very pleasant foody pub. Food was traditional and good value; Greene King Mils was very good Lovely part of the country, worth a visit.

Agree with previous comment by Runningdog.
Pub serves good value food but could go the extra mile and be really good.
Have taken big groups there in the recent past and landlord acts like he is doing you a bit of a favour despite spending out. Smile mate, it's alright you know!

Nice enough, but unexceptional, village pub serving home-cooked which seems to be good value for money. Three real ales, Moreland's Original, Speckled Hen or GK IPA, samey selection, run of the mill quality, and the usual lagers and ciders. Friendly staff, good service, with a little patience on both sides, can deal with large parties well. My rating? 6, which pobably undervalues it a bit.

One of the best pubs around. Excellent atmosphere, typical country pub. Excellent home cooked food, the Sunday roasts are the best around. Always made to feel welcome, also offer a non smoking section
