please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Is this actually a pub, or a mini Cargo homestore that happens to have a bar in the middle?

Plus points: original decor, clean and bright, exterior building looks great

On the down side, the barmaid didn't appear to know what Southern Comfort was until we pointed at it.

Looks like it might be a decent restaurant, but I'd say the jury's out as to whether this really qualifies as a pub at all...

This is certainly more a restaurant than a pub. There are a couple of hand pumps on the bar that have been polished to death and look very good, its just a shame that nothing comes out of them. Amstel, Kronenburg, Budweiser and Guinness are all available on draught, but as I fancied an ale I opted for a Coke rather than walking straight out. I was a little surprised at being charged 1.95 for a half. At 3.90 a pint, the urine was royally extracted from this mug!

As a restaurant the place has a bright airy feel and the latino type music in the background gave a relaxed chilled out atmosphere. I liked it and if I was in the area with the wife Id pop in for a bite to eat as the food smelt good and the waitress/barmaid was very friendly.

If this was a restaurant review site this place would be getting a great rating from me, but unfortunately it isn't.

This is probably one of the most good value for money pub/restaurants in South West London.

Carla and Raymond working the bar and floor are always ready to welcome you with a warm and genuine smile and even when very busy ( which is most days ) they are always very helpful and friendly and will do their best to find you a table.

Food is always of a first class standard and one of the few restaurants where if you ask for your meat to be rare it is cooked correctly. Good size portions and innovative menu which changes daily.

Highly recommended and well worth a visit

We went for Sunday lunch - we were the only people in there at 1pm (although it was a BH weekend). My wife asked for cider and was brought IPA by a waitress who insisted IPA was a cider. We sent this back and, because the only actual cider available was the dreaded Bulmers (the range of beer and cider was poor, at least on tap), ordered a white wine spritzer. This also went undrunk because it tasted like anti-freeze: it was either corked, old or ultra-cheap wine. The waitress giggled when we told her and didn't offer to replace it (admittedly we should have insisted). To eat, we had some small olives swimming in lemony oil, some bread which was clearly supermarket baguette warmed up, and then the tapas. Our waitress said the portions were small but, for tapas, they were huge, meaning we overordered. Everything we got was greasy and tasteless. We got the bill and found they'd tried to charge us for the IPA! Overall: a disaster, in terms of food, drink and service. Mortlake doesn't have many good pubs to eat in so it's well worth the trip to the Botanist in Kew, the Sun in Barnes or the Victoria in Sheen.

My closest boozer and I really like it. It's not a pub - if you want a pub then pop across the road to the Gardeners - it's a bar so fits perfectly with this site for having a beer in the evening. I love the place. Lucia is a great landlady - not too intrusive unlike that weird barman they have on sometimes.

When I first moved here I had dinner here and it was empty - now you have to struggle to get a table from Wednesday to Saturday - that's a compliment in itself! Excellent!

One of my favourites, good food, great ambience. The best spot around.

I think the word "pub" needs re-defining,as this isn't

I've been here a few times now and have not one bad word to say about the place, it's a brilliant pub serving superb food and staff are excellent. Good mix of people in there in the evenings which makes for a great atmosphere, during the days it's quite quiet making it an ideal place for a relaxing afternoon pint.

On arriving at the pub on a Sunday afternoon we enquired if they had roast dinners on the menu and where advised yes and shown the specials board. After tucking into our bottle of wine and ordering our food we where told there where no roast dinners left. We ordered some food from the menu which was very disappointing. The general atmosphere in the pub was very pleasant and the staff where good.

This is my local if you could call it that. It is more of a restaurant than a pub but it's quite a nice palce to have a chilled out beer after work. The staff are extremely friendly and very attentive especially if you are eating. Recommended for the food since I've eaten there four times in a week!

don't know why people are calling this a pub! It's a restaurant - great atmosphere, very good food, delicious, unpretentious

Definitely a pub about food rather than beer, but the staff are excellent and the garden is a great place to chill out. Great place for a meal or a bottle of wine - not my first choice for a night on the beer though.

I went to the Tapestry recently. The food was excellent and the environment was relaxed. The service was top notch too. I will return...

Fantastic food and good beer.
It's more of a restaurant than a pub. But the staff make you more than welcome if you just want to relax with a drink.
