Quite liked this pub, although it felt a bit like a restaurant with a bar. Feels like it's been recently refurbished and is a bit bright and lacking in atmosphere. Friendly welcome/staff

Probably the nicest pub in Stradbroke. Unlike the other two, it has a light and airy feel and offers the warmest welcome. There was one other customer sat at the bar, whilst the rowdy group plus dog I had just encountered at the Queens Head had beaten me here and seemingly multiplied with a second dog. The volume had multiplied too! The landlady and an assistant were awaiting diners to cook for. But alas there were none. I did read that the food is good here though. As I was driving, I opted for a rather expensive (£2) local apple juice. The beer selection, as with other Stradbroke pubs was uninspiring - Adnams Bitter, Wells Bombardier & Greene King Abbot.

Well kept ales and good food in a welcoming pub.

Lost atmosphere in recent refurbishment. Good beer. Good food. Watch out for short measures

had a company meal here in jan which i had booked myself . upon arrival we were told they had no knowledge of this. after a few minutes we were told they could cook 'certain meals' but nothing too involved as everything had been turned off, and generally made to feel like it was inconvinient. as we were considering leaving the FULL menu became available so we decided to stay put. my friend steak had to be sent back TWICE as she asked for w-d and it came out rare! the landlady was very short with us although i will say the majority of our 3 course meal was very nice. i was drinking vodka and coke whilst someone else on the table drank malibu n coke, and my second drink smelt of coconut (i can tell as i detest the stuff) but was told from across the pub it definatly wasnt and they couldnt smell it! after a bit of a fuss it was eventually changed! chatted with the lanlord after the meal, nice enough guy. in summery, nice pub, good food just a shame about the service! *not my fault someone didnt write our booking down!

I have enjoyed several visits here and last Saturday lunchtime was no exception. The Woodforde Wherry and the Piddle in the Wind were in top condition as was my mates Adnams. The food was superb and Egil and Sue make you feel so welcome. They really try so hard having introduced afternoon teas at weekends they now also offer breakfasts too! Well worth the journey.

Welcoming friendly pub with lovely food. We were advised not to take the (young) children there. Wide range of dishes freshly prepared. I particularly liked the thai dish. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

We have visited this pub 3 times since it has changed hands and on each occasion have enjoyed excellent food and drink. The menu is varied and exciting ! almost "Celebrity Chef" ! Local draught beers very good. A relaxing and most enjoyable evening out.
