Now known as Belushi's, this is a good sized pub on a corner plot just up from Pultney Bridge, it consists of a U-shape room with the bar counter at the top. Flooring is a mixture of wood strip and tiling whilst the colour scheme is maroon and cream, with the exposed air conditioning ducting on the ceiling also being painted cream. There was some dark wood panelling on the lower part of the walls.
The left hand leg of the U facing the street has red leatherette bench seating split in to booths alongside the windows whilst there were a few high tables and chairs at the top. Around the other leg of the U was a room housing a pool table with a rugby mural on the wall and a vaulted room off to one side with old music posters on the ceiling. This seems to be something of a rugby pub and a projector screen at the front was showing the match.
We didn’t inspect the menu, but it looked to be of the cheap and cheerful variety and we spotted a few burgers being dished up. Many of the punters left something to be desired with a bunch of guys stood around the bar swearing rather loudly and kids running riot elsewhere. At least one couple walked out whilst we were there without bothering to stop for a drink.
Beers on tap were Gem, Dartmoor Jail Ale and Deuchar’s IPA. Ciders were Strongbow, Magner’s Golden Draught and Bounders. The barman seemed a bit clueless serving a Gin & Tonic in a short dumpy glass, and I had to explain to him what mini cheddar’s were.

I use this place as a sports bar (3 plasmas & 2 big screens). Unfortunately the bar staff don't seem to be sports fans and turn off the commentry whenever they can in favour of music - even when a big game is on. That minor gripe aside - the beer is ok, and good for student discounts. They also do live music.

Fantastic pub with guess what two real ales on pump atleats one is always local and the other is still fantastic. The prices are brilliant as i have a discount card which gets me %20 off and this is available to anyone. Plus students get this offer just by showing there student id. Shame on whoever posted the last comment maybe they were to drunk to know what the were talking about or just a bit slow awhh

This place has bouncers at the weekend. Drinks are expensive. No real ales. And it's a youth hostel! Amazingly it's opposite the Old Green Tree. Go to the Old Green Tree instead. Or there's a Waitrose 50m across the road. Buy a bottle of cider and go and sit in Parade Gardens. Better experience than St Christophers!

Slightly trendy in a tacky way, but despite that its usually a good bet for interesting conversation- its main trade is as the city centres only youth hostel. Food looks good though ive never tried it, and usually good offers on.

went there on saturday on match day. Not many people in at all (basically empty) and food still took an hour to arrive. Then the American bar maid wouldn't put the Rugby on insisting "everyone's watching Hockey", everyone being just her as the only person near the bar. So much for looking after your customers! Rubbish pub, worse food, annoying, uninterested staff! Never going back - Saracen's Head is better!!!!

Formerly known as Olivers, refit was probably overdue, as despite a seemingly prime location, never had any customers!

Pub changed to St Christophers as of May 2003. Gone a bit trendy.
