Huge 'Property For Sale' sign now features in the car park. A strange turn of events must have occured with this place over the last 12 months or so.

Looked closed last Saturday afternoon.

I noticed three or four weeks ago that The Fox was not only closed but thoroughly boarded up - doors, windows etc. It looked terminal. Imagine my surprise last night (02.06.2011) when I witnessed a full car park and customers spilling out onto the patio ! There was music and possibly a BBQ on the go. I was walking the dog without so much as a penny in my pocket otherwise I would have steered the dog pubward for a gander. I will get myself along there in the next week or two and report back with the low-down.

Think this one has gone to the wall as well - Traditional tinned-up windows which indicate the PubCo has churned another licencee! Shame as there are far too many closing - when will it all end?

Any watering hole must be appealing after a long, exhaustive walk from Brookwood station. No - the Fox is not too bad but it is no great shake. You will not be highly delighted or deeply disappointed it is one of these places. Not much character especially in the soulless restaurant. Service was very friendly but food and drink definitely over-priced for this area. Buy a drink and enjoy your own sandwiches outside!!

Fantastic pub, great food and staff.

I went to this pub on a Saturday night at the beginning of December and we had a great time. At first I was a bit unsure about the flat screens everywhere showing the end of the football but they soon got switched off and we watched a brilliant band called Sounds of the Suburbs who played some great songs and then let the audience come on stage to sing as they did live rock karaoke! What a laugh. The pub has a good outside area for smokers and a nice garden for families.

Thanks for the comments Guys. I work at the Fox and it's always nice to get a good review. I was there on Sat night and your right that band The Disciples were good.....It was a busy night and both Andy and I were flat out like a lizard drinking so it's nice to know ppl were still happy with the service :)

This pub is really quite good, but rather understated. Several screens, good snooker table, darts etc. Live music on Sats - went there to see a band called Disciples who were fantastic. Pleasant staff. They just need to publicise themselves better.

Nice garden - food was on the small side and rather boring. Quite expensive too!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Fox. Apparently they have only just started doing evening food. My husband and I agree that this is the best pub meal we have had for a long time. Well Done, keep up the good work!

Fantastic garden if you have kids, with bouncy castle and swings. Friendly, quick service. I enjoyed my lasagne and chips but my husband was a bit disappointed with his chicken pie (small portion, a bit bland).
