Awful. The sort of theme bar frequented by Sci Fi bores. If that's your thing then fine. I hadn't been in ages but was persuaded that the place had improved. Wrong. Beer in poor condition and a house full of nerds.

Bit of a posy bar with a student feel to it. Minimalist dcor with psychedelic murals and weird props including a Dalek, or so Im told as I didnt see it. Rather pretentious door policy. Its probably mostly used for pre-club drinks.

This bar is great. People who go there have not forgotten that going out is about having FUN!not posing or staring at those who don't 'fit in'. People just dance and have a great time. The atmosphere is brilliant.

Fab is fantastic bar - definately one of the best in Manchester. Its certaintly a bit different from your average bar,all the vintage T.V stuff gives it a unique kind of feel!Don't get many knobheads going here either and the staff are great.

fab is a cool theme bar also linked partnership with satans hollow which is on princess street round corner decent music and relaxed atmosphere.

Unique place worth a visit.
Beers are nothing special, but aren't too expensive for the geeky sci-fi bar.
Very busy on weekends, so likely you'll be squashed somewhere trying to drink a pint.
Opens late so always good as a place to crash after the pubs close. No entrance fee either.

Fab is my favourite bar in all of Manchester. There's a great atmosphere and fun bar staff. I love the food - they even have veggie options! They also have a wonderful collection of Sci-Fi movie and tv memorabilia, and some great old-school arcade games.
If anyone from the Fab staff reads this, I send you warm greetings from Canada. Sunday nights are never quite as good without you.

decent music, relaxed atmosphere. i like the uv lights. i wish more people would dance there and then i wouldn't feel like such a sore thumb. ouch.

this is a cool theme bar, with great tv dinners(smash, crispy pancakes and the like), all at cheap prices. good beer offers as well until 7.30 most nights i think. Only one bad thing, is some of the bar staff can be a tad unwelcoming.

Fab cafe continues to go from strength to strength. We look forward to a new year full of fun and frivolity. Thanks to all of you who came and those still yet to come. (No. of people exterminated this year 00.000)

Ive been to Fab Cafe twice now and being a huge oasis fan, I try and request a song by them. The Dj wouldnt play them as he didn't like them, the same for the Beatles, Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, as they are all 'overrated'! Now, for a club that is predominantly indie music, how he can get away with saying that is beyond me as they epitomise indie music. Good otherwise but I cant believe a dj can get away with saying that and also verbally abusing me. Don't go on the weekend, weekdays are better.

I love this Bar - it's my favourite one in Manchester. Was ther on my birthday in November and had a great time. It's got a really relaxed atmosphere, open late, plays great music and free to get in! Even worth the queue although I try to get in early to avoid that thesedays!

Fab Cafe is a really welcoming place. It doesn't matter if you're not into the cult and sci-fi theme, because the atmosphere and music make most people feel at home. Highly recommended for a good night out.

Is this the best bar in Manchester? Very possibly. There's just something about walking in there that makes you think "Yes, I'm home."
I once walked into Richard O'Brien in here when I was being dragged onto the dancefloor as something from the Rocky Horror soundtrack was being played. It's that kind of place.
They got rid of the Creature from the Black Lagoon pinball table, though. Shame.

Great cult tv/movie theme bar. Always something strange on the many tv's dotted around the place. Open till 2am almost every night with the exception of the odd Tues and Sundays...when they have a free film night. Other nights usually have a culty/kitchy retro DJ on from 10 60s thru to modern stuff. Carlsberg/Tetley on tap which isnt amazing but good guest ales usually.

As you leave, it feels just like it does when you come out of the cinema.
Dead good, cracking bottles of old-style Grolsch (with the flip-lids to put on your shoes).
And a top barman called Graham with a very amusing ginger beard.

The original Sci-fi Movie Cult TV theme bar. Great atmosphere, a House of the Dead machine and retro pintables.
Amazing decor (and the odd dalek). The beer's not bad too.
