The pub is now Cafe Gurkha. The left hand side of the pub is an Nepalese restaurant and the side on the right in a pub, with pool table. The pub side is basic a few chairs, TV and pool table. John Smiths and Fosters etc on the pumps. The have Cobra on draft in the restaurant
The restaurant side is fantastic. A mixture of Indian curry and Nepalese curry. Every meal or take away i have had from here is 10 out of 10.
Try the bottled Gurkha beer

This is now Cafe Gurkha @ The Hare and Hounds and the food is damn fine. There is still a small pub section, with pool table, and a huge beer garden. Basic beers on tap but a selection of bottled beer, including Cobra. Service is very friendly and efficient. Finally a pub in my neighbourhood that I want to frequent.

Friendly welcome but beer seemed expensive (2.70/pint). I also found the food over-priced as it seemed to use cheap ingredients - my turkey and mushroom pie tasted like it contained tinned food.

Really friendly pub, Jim the landlord is a really friendly character. Walked in there once probably having not been in there for months and felt immediatly at home. Always a good pint of beer and for food cant beat for taste and value, buy one get one free menu...Scampi and chips and rump steak for less than a tanner. For the Sunday Roast lover the Sunday carvery is heaven, three meats and all the veg you can pile onto your plate for under 8 quid - book though as Sunday Carvery is popular (once you been you'll be back)
