You never quite know what you're going to get when walking into a cellar bar on a main shopping street. But despite just the solitary Deeside ale, I found this quite a nice comfortable bar. It was after 11pm on a Saturday and it was still fairly busy. The real ale was Swift.

Basement bar, one cask ale on from the Deeside Brewery, which I had (not a great experience). The keg selection is poor. A few bottles, I had the Eden Mill St. Andrews The Clock.
|
Downstairs bar on Union St, locals type place in the city centre.
Pleasant interior, 1 real ale on pump which was from the Box Steam Brewery and was good.
Decent enough place for a pint

Wow, thats how I rate this one, dont agree with Ali oop, not a welshman in sight, though found 3 keys to sporran locks though.

Like drinking in a Welshmans living room (which isnb't necessarily a bad thing). Friendly, screens for the footy, decent beer, underground location makes it pretty cosy in the winter. Wouldn't want to spend a sunny afternoon in here mind.

Nice bar, football matches and decent beer and civilised. Best bit is it's below street level and mobile phones don't work down there. (Missus can't get hold of me)
