Went in when football was on, very noisy even in the quieter room with very loud swearing from a couple of customers who didn't stop even when asked to by the bar staff. Maybe ok if no footie on.

Spent the last Saturday of 6 Nations in here. Friendly staff & locals, chicken from takeaway down road delivered, well priced beer with plenty of special offers.
Busy sports type pub.
Best one we found in the town.

2 bar pub, which had 2 beers on london pride and doom bar.but noted that around the top of bar around 15 different beers will be on during october.only popped in for 1 pint friday night, but band were good and golf was on in other bar,so didnt get out till 1 am.

A very spartan bar which feels more a sports club. Bare floorboards throughout but seating is not too bad. The large lounge has 3 fruit machines, a pool table and a football machine. It also had a very large flat screen tv and a projector screen plus another screen in the other lounge area. Its only saving grace was that the beer was cheap but not of a very high quality.

The prices are good in this place and although you shouldnt expect fine dining and expert service, it's down to earth and friendly.

Busy pub nothing special but real ale at 2.50 a pint so can't complain.
TV screens showing live sport in pub.
|
a very good value for money pub, deuchars ipa was superb and only 2.50,was told if i have 3 pints you can keep the deuchars glass.also has special deals throughout the day on beer and food.

Called in here after visiting Caulheads just down the road. Had a geat pint of Deuchars IPA (Doombar was also on but didn't try it). Staff were friendly and service was quick.
It was fairly busy as there was footie on the big screen.
Would call in again - if only for the beer.
