Nice meals in here, salad bar as well. No draught beer but a nice place to eat and chat of a lunch time.

A hotel which does not stay open after 11. Very strange.

Guinness and San Miguel on tap.

Not one for the real ale drinkers: they don't seem to sell it here. However can't be faulted for atmosphere.

Visited on the 6th jan for a couple of pints of smooth much changed as "wortman" said in his last post, but all the better for the changes although it was quiet i found a really good bar to sit and have conversation in(unusual in town these days)even with sky sports news on! Reckon it could catch on, if people are prepeared to walk the extra 20yrds past the Tonic Bar to get to it for a night of chav free freedom!

Much redecorated last year and now looks cleaner and smarter. Big comfortable leather sofas and chairs in the brightly decorated lounge. Nice dining areas. Some say it's lost a bit of it's charm but I would prefer to eat there now than before. Not sure what the evenings are like as i may only use it weekend lunchtimes.

Closes during the day for a few hours, which doesnt help. Part of a hotel
