Nice pub a little way from the town centre, relatively quiet on a Saturday lunchtime but a good atmosphere. Beer was in good condition, if not cheap, and we enjoyed some excellent Oyster Stout. From the description of the food and the prices on the blackboards the place is something of a gastropub, but on this occasion we had no time to eat although we had the impression it would be a good place to do so another time.

Excellent food and ales. One of the best pubs in Ipswich - not surprising that it is included in Camra's Good Beer Guide every year.

Second visit in 4 years, fantastic pub, good beer range served well, proper old pub made even more impressive by the "footy menu" and the Leeds shirted barman.

Best pub in town.

If, like me, you're a fan of Adnams beers you can't go wrong here. The full range is on offer in excellent condition, plus a guest beer. Good food- high quality but unpretentious, ie you can get a burger and chips if you like, or even just a sandwich; there's also a specials board with more ambitious alternatives. Friendly staff who are obviously on good terms with the regulars. Pleasant surroundings, including a paved outside drinking area at the back. Overall one of the best pubs in town.

Well-used Adnams house just a little way out of Ipswich town centre. Sells the majority of Adnams beers including seasonal brews. Never tried the food but it always looks and smells good. Quite a welcoming atmosphere. Big downside is that, like most Adnams tied houses, the beer is very expensive. Yes you get a good quality pint but if you choose to have more than one drink here, you won't be having a cheap night out.

A friendly traditional Adnams pub with most of the current range. Best,Broadside,Old,Explorer and one guest 'Timothy Taylors Landlord'. The fire was on in the lounge and it was rather nice. It seems that Wednesday night is quiz night as there were some signs on the table last night. Our group were on an Ipswich pub crawl so we had left before it started. Adnams have recently increased their beer prices again by 20p this time. This was by far the most expensive pub on yesterdays pub crawl with a number of the beers priced at 2.90. Adnams are in danger of losing a lot of their loyal customers with this latest price rise to an already expensive pint.

A nice friendly local with good ale and pub grub. A little way from the town centre it is worth the trouble of seeking it out.

Excellent food and beer make this pub well worth a visit.

Poncey saloon but public is well survivable and beer is excellent.

The Greyhound is one of my favourite pubs in Ipswich. The food is lovely and the staff are always happy, which helps to provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
