Marstons pub near the station. The interior of the bar appears to have a medieval theme with shields around the walls and pictures of knights. It was quiet on a Friday lunchtime, with only 3 other drinkers. There was a further room at the rear, where the carvery is served. I don't believe there were any takers during our visit. Jennings Sneck Lifter, Banks's Bitter & Wychwood Hobgoblin were the 3 real ales on offer from the Marstons range.

a fantastic friendly greeting from the couple running the place and a surprisingly gorgeous pint of ringwood "lovey warne" was quaffed in the hot sun outside,an ideal pub for a beer before your train, food dirt cheap too (fish pie and veg=2.50etc)only sad signs was the place empty on a sunny sat lunchtime and a marstons pub to let sign outside,7/10

Very good for a pub so close to a train station, albeit pricey as you'd expect for such a pub. Very nice guest ale last night, friendly landlord, nicely laid out bar, an enjoyable half hour spent whilst waiting for my train. Tonight i'm getting the later train and stopping fo ra couple.

Friendly town local with large bar and a function room, situated adjacent to the railway and bus stations. There are always two cask ales available - usually Banks' Bitter and a seasonal guest, along with Thatcher's Heritage Cider. The ales and cider are always in good condition and staff appear knowledgable about the product. Food is also excellent.
