Was closed on my last visit to Ullenhall. Apparently an Enterprise Inn victim and it remained closed for a couple of years.
Been done out very stylishly, aiming to cater for the food market.
Service was excellent. Meals reasonably priced pub fayre.
Purity Pure Gold in fair condition.

Re opened last saturday, sunday roast great value, clean tidy pub, open fires, friendly in experianced staff but learning quick, dogs welcom in bar good portion size, clean throughout, tv and music dont dominate, smoking room almost as big as pub with wood burners and tv. small play area. well worth stopping off.

Nipped in couple of days ago, on a wet Sunday evening. Pleasantly surprised, a warm welcome had here. Initially a bit surprised by the smoking area, but on later inspection, it's really very good. In envy of their wood burners..
The main bar was serving most beers, plus as i recall Wetheroak IPA. Had a couple, and found to be a sturdy and consistent pint. The staff were quite young, but the service was good.
Good clean house, would definitely go again. This visit, between lunch and dinner, but reading their menu, for the varied range of sharing platters, and chalkboard specials. For now a big 9

I hadn't been for a while but heard that there were new owners so thought I would check it out. Very impressed! A nice relaxed atmosphere and lovely food. Will be going again.

in responce to illegal smoking at the spur . i am the landlord. we do not condone any illegal activity on our premises. the smoking in question is actually a designated purpose built smoking room for our customers to use its been built to regulation and has been bought off by the council as bieng fit for purpose. just because its got 3 tvs and amusement machines pluss two fire places to keep you warm dosnt meen you are in the main building were the smoking regulations are in force . it is without a doubt the best smoking facility in the country and just shows what can be achived when you seek the rightr advise and work with local aurthorities for the best interest of our customers happy new year to you all regards clive

Disgusting - People were smoking in The Winged Spur in Ullenhall - I and my party of 10 left - immediately - Very gross!! not to mention "illegal"..

Just like to congratulate Clivo and Mary on being awarded Solihull CAMRA pub of the year. Mak.

Tables are often kept for locals but the beer selection is pretty good although expensive. There have often been brews from all over the country and some small breweries. If busy (eg Saturday night)then you will be standing or in the smoking shelter (itself a construction feature of its own).

it is a verry nice country side pub best place in waric shire to have a pint or 2 and the food is ga8t tyr it

This was a nice clean looking pub when we visited, very much for the locals. Could do with real ale selection from some of the micro breweries instead of standard for the guest ales.

Not too far from Henley in Arden this pub has a perfect village setting and serves up some decent ale. There's three handpulls and I think two are rotating guest ales. The bar itself is a little small and I imagine when it gets really busy its all a bit of a squash. Good selection of beer complimenting delicacies and a decent crowd. Not bad actually.

We visited this pub on 15/10/06 at lunch for the second time and was disappionted. There were tables by the bar with reserved signs on. It was obvious that these were being reserved for the locals, because all the others except one for two people were for diners only. I would'nt recommend calling if you want a seat and there are more than two of you.
