Went their recently. Apparently the garden was a bit midgy but it was a summers eve, and it is near fields. Food very nice although a bit pricey. Three real ales on tap. Tried the Pure UBU and Everards Tiger, both nicely kept. Service a bit slow for the second round, be we had chilled out by that point. Staff concientious about not giving short measures. Recommended pub.

Everards Tiger bitter on cask - nice plce with open fire, although very quiet.

Far from being like a straw dogs kind of place, can't really fault the lion - it's not too pricey, the setting is great in the summer, good ambiance and prompt service. Worth a drive out for.

Very quiet, if thats what you like, Its quite comfortable and the food is ok but nothing to shout about which is not what i was told to expect. The customers seemed friendly enough didn't seem to like new faces whch seemed to make feel a little uncomfortable.

Pretty good overall... comfortable with reasonable service.

Great pub with a nice little garden for summer. The famous Earlswood lakes are very near ideal for a pre drink/dinner walk. Although this is a brewery pub the food and bear are quite good but the staff is very nice and genuinely seem to care if youve had a nice meal! Please keep it up
