Macc, Macclesfieldback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I was impressed by the Macc. It was quiet on my Saturday evening visit. But the range of ales and ciders was good. I'm surprised it hasn't been in the Good Beer Guide since 2015. Ales were mostly from Wander Beyond. The owner apparently also runs the brewery. There was Peak Pale Ale, Great Rift Milk Stout, Twin Peaks & Daze, alongside Alchemist Ale from Pictish. Ciders were Happy Daze & Black Dragon from Gwynt y Ddraig. They also have a number of craft beers from Wander Beyond, Fell Brewery & RedWillow. There are a couple of large rooms. One has sofas and books. It makes for a comfortable visit. The Milk Stout was very nice indeed. Not sure how we missed this place when we last visited Macclesfield in 2009.

This review is from my visit to the Macc and other pubs in the area on Saturday 6th August.
After a couple of beers around the station area we headed towards the football ground and stopped here for 2 pints.
A large open plan pub that seems to have been stripped out and refurbished in recent years. The L shaped bar had 5 cask ales on from a variety of breweries, the pints of Ossett Pale Gold @ 3.8% & Picctish Brewing Companies Alchemist @ 4.3% were well kept.
With the weather being good we took our drinks and plotted up on the green in front of the pub and right on the main road.
Stripped wooden flooring and a plastic covered lean to for smokers to the left of the front door. Football on the tv screens and mixed aged clientele.
Decent pub on the way to and from the football ground with a nice range of ales.

Not a bad boozer at all. Landlord and landlady are sound. Beer well kept, and food currently is spot-on. Good for early doors, and a few nice sofas for drawn-out evenings.

Pleasant knowledgeable staff, excellent wide range of beers, a bit more pricey but keeps out the idiotic drunken riff raff which is fine with me. A must for any real ale lover.

Very welcoming three-roomed pub. Great staff, good beer. Pub games, pool table, live football on TV.

Often stop here before Macc Town games, the pub has a pool table and very cheap beer (what more do you want)
Despite looking a bit dodgy from the outside, never had any trouble in here. Ideal for a morning pint.
