A lovely place to be. I have to agree with the other reviews about this being the best of the three nice pubs in the village. We spent a couple of evenings there, and always felt welcome. Good beer, good atmosphere and superb food. Had a nice chat with the landlord who explained that a new extension had just been built, so maybe the "concrete builders yard" found by the previous reviewer was to do with it. Outside we just found tables, chairs and a skittle alley..no rubble! Cracking pub..will go again.

The kings Head pub in Kingsdown, Kent. I read reviews before booking Sunday lunch with my family group including grandchildren and grandparents. The reviews looked ok but the food was as bad as you could imagine! The landlord was rude. The rear garden can only be described as a concrete builders yard. I'm afraid the whole experience was poor by any standards and would never return.

Went here for Sunday Lunch, absolutely exceptional. Beer also good and nice garden too. Worth a visit

I agree with GrahamA about this being the best of the three. This was my first stop last night at about 18.45.
There were about half a dozen locals in one bar and a couple in the other. Good friendly service with a smile - it really does go a long way.
I had an excellent pint of Goacher's Mild, the other two ales being the ubiquitous Greene King I.P.A. and Fuller's London Pride. The pump clips attached to the ceiling bear witness to the diverse range of beers that have been sold in this charming little pub. It certainly has a cosy ambience to it.
A good, honest village local that rates 7/10 in my book.

Probably the best of the 3 pubs in Kingsdown. We visited several times during our holiday and it was always good.
The pub has 4 or 5 different rooms including a non-smoking family room - children are welcomed here. There is a small garden out the back - dominated by the outside skittle alley.
Bar staff are friendly and there seems to be a good vibe about the place.
The food is good and reasonably priced, but be aware that's it's not available every lunch time. Beer is excellent as well - obviously kept well.
Parking anywhere in Kingsdown is hard, but yes it is worth the effort.

Great little seaside boozer. I came in here to get out of the rain. Lovely pub,Friendly staff. I am not a cricket fan but this pub has loads of cricket memorabilia on the wall. I reckon this must get jammed packed in the summer. I would recommend a visit.

Cosy 3 room local with excellent chef: continental dishes. Greene King, London Pride and always one independent guest (often a micro) available. Parking difficult but worth the effort
