Despite all the optimistic comments below, The Boars Head has been boarded up for the last few weeks.

I like this pub-it's my local, and has been for the past 12 years or so. I have seen new managers come and go. Some are good, some are atrocious....as reflected by the numbers of customers coming and going. This pub is definitly on the rise again. The new blue lagoon room is a great idea. I just wish it was as full as it was in the late 90's. Now that was a pub with life. It still can be. C'mon all you pubbers and clubbers, lets get the life back ito the whore's bed, sorry boar's head, lol.

Delighted that 'People Power' has saved this pub! Greedy 'Punch' have responded to a thousand strong petition and plans for the Indian restaurant have been stopped. Well done!

Traditional boozer with good food and drink that is in danger of being turned into an Indian restauraunt by the greedy 'Punch' chain. Its a crime to let our traditional pubs go this way! A sad loss! Bring back the 'snug' and the 'smoke room'

Carl your review was awful!! You cant review a pub by going past it, it doesnt work like that. Infact i used to go here for food when i was younger with my parents and indeed the pub went way down hill. But now its under new mangement and the restaurant Cosgroves is fantastic for food, i was so shocked to find such high quality food tucked away in the boars head.
More people should know that the boarshead is not the hole it once was
And Carl...stick to ur day job.

I used to come here for food quite alot when i was younger with my parents but it started going downhill, went past it today it looks almost run down the building.

Beer very average. Customers very thin on the ground. Not much of a welcome. Don't think I'll be going back in a hurry.
