closed sunday 12th april.now about to be bulldozed for a new asda store!
Sutton council voted last night to let the Woodstock be demolished and new asda supermarket to be built.
local guardian website now saying Woodstock will be turned into an Asda minimarket.
still open, walked past Saturday evening and a wedding reception was going on in the hall with 2 bouncers on the door!
Tried to book the hall for a party, to find out 2 weeks before they had double booked us! They wouldn't have told us until the night that we were in the 'side hall' which isn't a hall at all, it is a side of the bar! We had to find a venue 2 weeks before the even which was very hard. Feel very let down, needs a revamp of the decor too as it's a little shabby.

interesting to see the reviews of the last 4posts,all new posters who have only posted about woodstock.as the woodstock is my nearest pub, would love it to turn round to pub i would like to go in,but for that to happen, would have to have a couple of good guest beers on (john smiths yuk).get the beer, food right, and customers will come, but not if the same crap still drink in there.

My family took me to this pub on Tuesday night for a surprise birthday dinner. As we pulled into the carpark I thought "Ho no!" as I know this pubs reputation of old. I was pleasantly surprised, the girl behind the bar was very polite and my John Smiths bitter hit the sweet spot. The Restaurant, called 'The Orange Rooms' was the real surprise, a large ornate room, some of the tables and chairs have seen better days but the food is absolutely delicious and amazing value for money. I will certainly be going back there and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant especially for families.
Nice to see a change in the area. After waiting for 20 mins just to be told there was a 30 min wait at the George decided to go to the carvery in Ewell and on the drive past noticed the new restaurant advertised. Walked in, staff were great and there was no wait!! Had a good roast and pud for under a tenner so I have booked for Mothers Day.
Recently took my 2 children and mate to this pub for lunch, staff were friendly and happy to have kids in the restaurant. We all ate for less than 25, and the food was beautifully cooked. I know this pub has had a bad reputation in the past but it seems that the management have taken a new direction for the better. I recommend the restaurant and i will be returning soon

The woodstock isn't turning into a Tesco Express, There doing food again think it's called The Orange Rooms @ The Woodstock, food going to be nice I've been told, going to give it a go.
Horrible, just horrible. Walked in with a mate on a Friday afternoon/evening, it was like a Western, everything stopped & the 15 thugs all stopped their conversations & watched us get a pint. Was made to feel truly uncomfortable before leaving to go to the Lord Nelson down the road. Avoid this place like the plague.
shame the last big tree in the car park fell down and was removed 2 weeks back.just come back from the barbers and he told me there is a strong rumour going round, of the woodstock becoming a tesco express.anyone no anything?
nearest pub to where i live, went in here for the 1st time in over 10 years, after missing my bus.a pub without any real ale,so had fosters which was only 2.50 on mondays in august.was about 40 drinkers inside watching man united on tv.drank my drink quickly to get next bus, thinking about how woodstock was 20 odd years ago, sitting in the hatters bar drinking real ale served by big maggie.there use to be 4 different bar rooms.shame they knock the bollocks out of pubs.
good redecoration and few months ago had ale on tap too, however ales never on now and quickly seems to be returning to chav heaven. a shame as this could've improved alot to what it was.on plus side bar staff friendly and people in there ready to chat!

This pub is now re-open. New decor and new manager. Please come and have a look and post what you think.
used to be nice. it really did
ok if your a dirty chavvy sti ridden person..
This one is prime for redevelopment nice big site. The pub and service is terrible no bitter, no cider, no brandy, about a dozen people in there on a saturday night!
As we are in the pantomime season - which is the uglier sister? Woodstock or Beverely? Both. They are ugly beyond belief.
never have i been to a more awful place.. even the strippers they had there were awful and full of HIV
A sister pub of the Beverley! Say no more!
9 carat gold central truly awful place
The refurbishment in recent years was like something out of a 1980s horror show. Opened up the pub, filled it full of chrome fittings & took the Ale away. Not a comfortable place to drink.
Could have been a great pub but the refurb a few years ago put paid to that. Now a sterile pool hall where meatheads go to beat each other up.
This used to be such a great pub, but now it is crap, filthy dirty, unfriendly staff, rubbish dj,crap beer, they should never have done it up, left it with some character and charm.
Good beer, food OK, jukebox good. Staff really friendly, some customers a bit chav, but never seem any problems in there. Tosca - you seem amazed that insulting someones girl gets you into trouble!!!!! Good fun pub.

Chav infested pub, 'burbed up to the Rockport max. Generally avoid eye contact also a good tip.

Have enjoyed a few Leo Sayer's here. Clean place and quite smart for the area which is quite mo-ped infested, although some wag did try and hit my friend as we were leaving for aubibly remarking on the enormous girth of his girlfriend.

The best pub that i ever worked in (and there's been a few) under jeff and lee the punters are really down to earth and a great laugh
The Woodstock doesn't have a neighbouring pub, surely? Only thing next to it is a Co-Op, unless things have *really* changed down that way! Halibutt Sharon hired this place out once for their first gig.

Newly refurbishment with relaxing sofas and Guinness to die for. Good friendly place and attitude free. Much better then its neighbour 'The Crown'. You dont get a group of 'Billy No Mates' who think they own the place here. Entertainment is good and varied. Ladies are fine!!
