This pub has lost any appeal it had over the last few months. It's a great shame. It was one of the few pubs that had managed to keep its South East London fun time boozer identity..... sadly not the case now. I went in there last night - A Friday night at about 10pm. As I went through the door I was greeted by the most mournful depressing Irish music, the atmosphere was dire. The staff where not very professional. Management more interested in her drink than the pub. Left very disappointed.

Nice pub, good beer, friendly landlord and excellent live music most weekends!

Real ale is now available - I had a geat half of Sharps Doombar.

This is a very solid local pub. Dutch Landlord is nice and keeps his beers well and the pub clean. The Sunday spread laid on is great and the screens to watch football are terrific. Regulars aren't from the landed gentry, but they are friendly.
I wouldn't go if you are looking for real ale; There isn't any.
Definitely recommended.

Does this pub still have pool tables? I like a nice game of pool with a pint.

I watched the Chelsea v Man Utd game here yesterday. Two large screen (picture sharper in the music room). Best free nibbles I've ever seen in pub. Good atmosphere. Recommend it for watching football.

i wouldnt recommend this place to be fair beer was crap had a funny tangy taste to it seems very run down just forget it plain and simple

Recently repainted and cleaned up. Decent enough boozer during the day. Landlord is a friendly sort, with nibbles on the bar on Sundays. No real beer but it really caters to the working class locals, so lager is the tipple of choice. There are a lot worse pubs in the area. Their karaoke night is worth a laugh as some of the regulars could shatter Tupperware with their 'singing'. Bring ear plugs and try not to laugh too hard.

I always had this place down as the worst of the two tigers head pubs. Seems this one has outlasted the other. Another one of those bizarre things in life then.
Like Andy's comment about it being a "Ferrier Estate Social Club" Funny as f$$k!

One night a friend and I wanted a late night drink, but were feeling so lethargic about it we went to the most local place knew - The New Tiger's Head. To our horror: Not only did the DJ played Saturday Night by Whigfield (bad enough on its own), but the entire clientelle got up did some synchonised line dance - live a chav version of Michael Jackson's Thriller video....and this was in 2005! (Not that it would be acceptable in any year, but even so...)
Like a Ferrier Estate Social Club. Avoid.

Terrible place bad atmosphere and beer served warm, the back of the pub seems to be opened on friday nights for (plastic gangsters ononymous)meetings.

Oddly, this is actually quite a bit younger than the New Tiger's Head - some dispute dating back years. I once saw Ned's Atomic Dustbin play here.

I go in here sometimes to play pool. Its not as expensive as some pubs but I prefer BIKECLUB on fridays at the wetherspoons over the road.

Older than the New Tiger's Head I presume. Got to go after being turned away on New Year's Eve for the 3 person private party.
