Not too much to gripe about here - a good opportunity to try Evans and Evans ales, which seemed in excellent nick. Bar woman very friendly and are keen on pets with a budgie perched at the bar, and two dogs running around the gaff. Ah yes, the toilets stank, that would be my only complaint. And I do mean stank.

Busy local pub with a couple of friendly dogs. All the real ales were from Evan Evans.

Very friendly pub and well-kept Evan Evans beer. During our three night stay in Brecon we tried all four Evan Evans offerings between us.
On each night we were made to feel very welcome. It's a clean place, with decent background music and 3 'separate-ish' areas. Will definitely go back next time we're in the area.

On a visit to Brecon called in on recommendation of previous comments. Pub served well kept selection of Even Evans beer. Food was good quality and value and the staff made us very welcome. So much so that we went back the following evening.

Bright and traditional pub on the outskirts of Brecon. Very friendly with a good selection of Evan Evans beers. Thoroughly enjoyed the pub even though I was looking for The Black Bull, according to The GBG. I would recommend this to anyone.

Just spent a week in Brecon and found this pub to be, by far, the best in Brecon. Four handpumps serving Evan Evans beer, all in excellent condition. Staff and locals were very friendly - as were the pub dogs and cat!

The Bulls Head has kept the name because the new Landlord, Stuart found out that it was the only Pub in Brecon not to have had it's name changed. It now has a successful Music Night on Wednesdays and has started a Quiz Night on Mondays. The great beer is reasonably priced too.
This Pub is now better than ever.

This is a great pub. We visited it on 2 consequtive nights (21/21 July 06) for beer and food. The 4 Evan Evans (Llandeilo)beer was very well kept (they were pulling through when we went in!). The food was excellent and also great value for money. On the 2nd night I had a special - blackened Gower Sea Bass Ceasar Salad - which was divine. The other 3 had great food on both bights too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On the saturday they finish serving food at 8pm, but a number of people came in at 830 and after asking the chef, they served them - how refreshing!

The Bull's Head has the best range of real ales in Brecon, on average about thirty different ones a month, hence the Cathedral Choir frequents it. Ably Run by Chris and Del, it has been the place of many a fine after concert party, with Del's wonderful buffets and copious quaffing of those beautiful Ales. It is also the HQ of the Cathedral Choir's Friday Night Eating Club.
Opening Times during the Summer are: Mon - Sat 12 noon - 3pm & 6pm - 11pm Sun 12 noon - 3pm & 7pm - 10.30pm. Food available lunchtimes and evenings until 9pm with a roast lunch on Sundays. There is also Bed and Breakfast accommodation available @ 19. Please contact Chris on 01874 622044.
