A really attractive pub, you`d never think you was 10 mins walk from the Black Horse on the main drag. Still obviously a `are you locals?` establishment, real ale on, pleasant staff...but....more Hi-Viz than a tarmac gang on the M1 and just as loud, don`t know about the fluorescent PPE required - ear defenders would`ve been more useful! Try the quiet room on the right when you go in.

This pub is situated in the medieval heart of Northfield (Nordfeld) opp. the church and very historic.
We had a very nice drink here in the summer though I expect it can get a bit lairy at times. It felt like we were in a country pub.
Hadn't been in since I was at school and bunking off.

Whilst very much a locals' pub - be prepared for a fair wait at the bar if you dare be an interloper - this is a well-situated, well-designed place. Just started to bring real ale into the game - a very alive pint of Old Speckled Hen greeted me on Friday. It pretty much takes Northfield honours by default - just look at the 'competition' - but doesn't seem to be resting on its laurels

Beat this for a deal - 2 steak and bottle of wine 9.99 ! Banks Bitter 1.80pint, and I have been told the cellars being update to take 'Pump Engine' for real ale. Hope the scum in Northfield say away, not capable of reading reviews, back to the Blackhorse (Chav Central)New manager in place that is well rspected, the place ca only improve. Good luck to them, lost customer who has returned.

A nice pub when its warm enough to sit in the beer garden, I had the day off yesterday and for a little while the sun was shining. Me and my brother walked down and both ad a nice cold pint of beer. The pub itself looks nice both outside and in. Not sure about the crowd on the evening but there are worse. 6/10

small pub with a fairly regular crowd sells your normal standard pub food at reasonable prices and your standard lagers bitters etc. only downside no sky but do have a good jukebox

This pub is the first one for years that I've been into and found that it didn't serve real ale. As a concession to the modern enthusisam for haute cuisine, they sell chip baguettes, would you believe. I was there on a Saturday and the majority of the clientele were glued to the Sky Sports screens.
