It`s a nice enough locals pub, no ales on, bog standard fare.

I thought I had found a decent pub after returning to the area after some years. OK, no real ale at all but what they serve is OK (Guinnes and M&B tasted so far) and reasonably priced. More importantly the welcome is friendly and the atmosphere excellent. But, at what point were the no smoking in public laws repealed in the UK? It's been a while since I last saw ash trays on the bar and tables and whatever the drunk guy was smoking last night reeked....
Won't be going back.

Relaxed Local - Great for Rugby ......

Nice friendly community local with traditional irish bar and friendly lounge at rear. One Ale on tap - Abbot Ale , very well kept and excellent pint of Guiness. This pub is on the way up at the moment and a real credit to the area. large Garden at the back so cant wait for the summer and perhaps another ale . 8 out of 10 - so far.

This pub has been under new management since Nov 2009. The new landlord has done a fantastic job restoring the pub to it's former glory. Great beer and atmosphere and a warm welcome are always guaranteed at The New Inns. Without a doubt this is the best pub for miles around. It's also great for football and GAA games. Well worth a visit and I guarantee you will return!

This pub has been under new management for less than a year. If you haventbeen recently GO............Beautifully refurbished without losing its Irish Heart. Outside patio area now lovely - freshly painted and has a contemporary feel outside. The victorian setting is beautiful and new owners have restored sash windows. The pub has a local clientelle - plus GAA for all the matches if you like the hurling. The owners are planning to tidy up a field at the back for more outside events. This is a gem in the heart of Erdington - its Guiness is to die for. Support your local pubs - this one deserves its sucess and is truly worth a visit.

No real ale but oversized pint glasses in use, reasonable beer patio at one side, 4/10

Good community pub, with local following - unfortunately, since recently becoming tenancy, prices have gone up (no fault of gaffer - blame grasping pubco's who offer no discounts !!) and a few locals drifted away.
