Went here on a sunday night, quite good, I really enjoyed it and will be coming back. For those who like the bigger clubs this is the place to go on three floors its not a bad size but is very pricey!

Used to love it in here, always bumped into people you knew. Ground floor was always full of the younger generation kicking off every weekend and music was the kind you need to take drums to perform Second floor was good with the two bars and dance floor, good music Third bar was great, small dance floor but good music. Copped off every weekend ;-) Last memory in here about 10 years ago was pole dancing in the cage on bottom floor got thrown out by a women bouncer who obviously did not like my moves on the dance floor! Could never get taxi home so they trick was to leave half hour before closing or there was always people fighting for taxis or kebabs Grew up fast and thank god bars started opening late

Not a bad club i used to enjoy it and was in there every week, got to the point where it was same old faces and you quickly got to know them all which was good because it made you feel safe, dont really go in any more i stick to bars now.But if local people are honest .. we have all been in time after time and all had some good laughs in guess we have just out grown it

Used to be the ROXY not the ritz ;) Tis closing down for refurbs in early 06 but as it was the only 'club' in bury to open late, it will be a shame. However, Yates is extending its hours to compensate. Sol's ok, but it's mostly populated by scallys/chavs. If they had a rock night, it would be awesome!

Actually love sol. Been going for years and never tire. people say once you go to uni you'll never go back to sol. Totally not true. Give me a sol night over Manchester any day. The only thing that lets ot down are the bouncers (who seem determined to ask me for I.D everytime I go and then spend half an hour telling me that it isn't me!! You'd think they'd remember by now!). Great music, great drinks offers on a thurs/ sunday, great staff. Thursdays were better before it was taken over but still a total laugh bumping into loads of old faces. Sundays and Thursdays probably best nights though Wednesdays are definately up and coming and will be HUGE soon. SOL VIVA best place in bury!!!

Sol Viva varies dramatically depending on the day you go in. On Sundays they shut off the main area and only have one of the top rooms open, but it's 1 a pint for a lot of stuff (or at least it used to be), the music is great (cheesy stuff that people will get up and dance to) and the atmosphere is more partyish. On the other hand, Thursdays is the student night where it gets packed full of school kids, the prices skyrocket (6 to get in or something) and trouble often kicks off. Avoid on that night unless you're completely drunk already.
