More of a restaurant/wine bar than a pub. Although they did stock 3 real ales - Courage Best & Directors & Theakston Black Bull Bitter. The decor is modern and there are plenty of staff who all seemed friendly.

Overpriced, filled to the rafters with rude obnoxious city boys & old city boys with the young ones on initiation!
Dcor would be nice if you are a fan of dogs or read horse & hound monthly.

Think it was in the 2006 or 2007 guide. it does real ale but incredibly expensive and not reaslly worth the bother.

It's not in my copy of the GBG 2009 or 2008.
Did you mean the Good Pub Guide? They're very different things.

Why on earth is this place in the Good Beer Guide? It's a pleasant, stylish bistro for business types, but only one ale? The TT Landlord was acceptable, if a little lively, but this is not a proper pub.

Visited this stylish bistro early on a Tuesday lunchtime and is was quiet, and I had a Church End beer. It was served well enough, but 3.00 a pint for a 3.8% beer seemed a little steep.

One of the most stylish places I've been in; shame the beer was warm and the range so dreary.

Banker's bar! I was unable to make a fair judgment of the place when I visited on a Saturday afternoon, but they served some OK Church End beer and it seemed fairly pleasant. I could easily imagine this place filling up with suits and pretentious types though. The magnums of Bollinger behind the bar made me suspicious. And the name is somewhat tacky.
