..not flats but an Indian restaurant
|
Closed for the last few weeks (at least) and now with estate agency sign declaring, 'Freehold Sold'. More flats....?
|
Bad news, I'm afraid...Praic and Mags have done a quick about turn and disappeared once more. The pub is now being run by a temporary management team parachuted in by (I think) Fireside Inns.
|
Great news: Praic and Mags are back and running the pub. Guinness - as always - in fine form.
|
Shame to hear that The Prince is closed. Paraic and Margret ran a great pub. The Guinness was always perfect. Anyone know where they are now? Poured many a pint for myself here in the small hours. Where are the regulars drinking now (especially big Phil)? Hardly The Broadway or whatever its called now. Is Pat Nolan still on the scene? I know I'm asking lots of questions but I'd love to hook up with them for a pint again.

Closed and boarded yesterday.

Very depressing. 2 punters all in all at 20:40 and then about 12 at around 10:40 on the New Years Eve. And why have a band that plays Rock music when you intent to keep the volume so low, restrict their performance not pay them the agreed fee and ask them to leave. It is just pointless. We had enough and decided to move on to the pub nearby which, needless to say was totally packed. This is a pub that is run by losers and can only be appreciated by big time losers. Amen.

A friendly welcome and excellent Guinness. A proper Irish pub, not one of those fake Irish-themed places.

I moved to burnt oak over 2 years ago and thought i would give this place a try, after a few dirty looks from the local council estate scum in the bald faced stag, i needed somewhere quiet and friendly.
I was not dissapointed in the least, this is a "real" irish pub.
No fancy alcopops on display, plain no nonsense booze, and and service to match.
The guiness is superb too.
The landlord is friendly and makes you feel very welcome, the regulars sing out old irish songs late in the evening, and there is no lack of sport available on the big screen.
There is a public area with 2 pool tables also.
Recomend very highly

Very nice indeed. A well-run, friendly and unpretentious Irish pub. Good place for music, Guinness and conversation.
|
Lovey landlady & hubby very chilled out they make you feel very welcome as for the comment about being racist I cant belive that they have booked in the past very English bands Hart To Hart who do motown and 60s & 70s and they are real cockneys and have gone down a treat
|
Im not sure about this pub. As i've heard that this can be a racist place.
