An L shaped corner pub with minimal decor and, I found, rather grudging service. Had a decent pint of Deuchars at 2.70 and also saw Directors and Cally 80. Nothing remarkable about the place.

This used to be a haunt of mine for years back in the '90s. Was a great bar then, very student friendly, good (free!!) jukebox and a pin table with the tilt sensitivity turned off!
Would love to pay a visit, but any bets an old GF of mine still hangs around in there!

Last time I was in here, someone kicked off and started flipping tables, the staff stood by and watched until three police cars showed up to deal with her. Leave well alone.

Another fave. If you are prepared to go off the beaten track in Newington you will find this little hidden gem.
San Mig on draught, comfy seats and a good jukey. What more do you want?
My advise, avoid dodgy boozers like the Abbey and the Junction and pop in here.

I love this pub! 50p vodka shots on Mon-Wed! Good for poor students. Friendly staff and much better than the chain pub up the road. Good jukebox (can't beat Dexy's Midnight Runners!) and San Miguel on tap.

Ah, used to be my local at Uni... Perfectly nice beer, and odd tables with board games painted on them. The chippie next door used to take returns of Irn Bru bottles as payment for food - handy! No doubt it's changed slightly since 2000 when I was last in there though!
