Visited the area for four nights in September decided to have a meal as the pub was so close to where we were staying. The food and beer was superb but the service was very poor. We waited nearly forty minutes for our sweets and the pub was quiet (Tuesday Evening) seems as though there was just the landlady and a member of staff on duty. It was more important to speak to a guy about the alarm system than customers!

I notice nobody has put anything on here for a few years! What a load of rubbish....the landlord calls himself a chef - we ordered a childs pizza which you would imagine as being made from fresh - we got a frozen bargain pizza from a well known frozen food shop! It annoys me that people think children don't enjoy food as much as adults! We ordered a meal off the special menu which should have been chicken with a mushroom sauce it was smothered in onions and not a mushroom in sight! Steaks were OK! Let me just say we won't be going back
